Bo it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United Smzes of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Inte- P°¤¤l°¤ W rior bo, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension J°m°°L‘ Sh"' roll, subject: so the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Joanna L. Shaw, widow of John E. Shaw, late a private in company “E," fourteenth regiment of Maine volunteers, and pay hor a pension of seventeen dollars per month in lieu of the pcusion she is now and has been receiving, commencing August seventeenth, eighteen hundred and sixty-two.
