To receive the entries of all ships or vessels, and of the goods, wares, and merchandise imported in them. Fourth. To estimate, together with the naval officer where there is one, or alone where there is none, the amount of the dues payable thereupon, indorsing such amount upon the res ctive entries. Fifth. To receive all moneys paidxlor duties, and take all bonds for securing the payment thereof. Sixth. To rant all permits for the unlading and delivery of goods.
