Cowsr private soldier and non-commissioned officer in the Army of the United *1*% I f States since November eighth, eighteen hundred and eighty; and 1mc;Tg;b5i,,¥•: Whereas he is under disability by the provisions of section twelve hundred and eighteen of the Revised Statutes of the United States, by reason of havin g served in the Confederate army, in which he enlisted when quite young: Therefore, Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That his disabilities under said section be, and they are hereby, removed. Approved, July 7, 1884. CHAP. 364.-An act granting a pension to James Brown. July 7, 1884. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatires of the United States of America in Congress assembled That the Secretary of the In- James Brown. terior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the P°¤¤°¤· pension-roll the name of James Brown, late a private in Company F, One hundred and thirty-ninth Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, at the rate of disability for total blindness subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws. July 7, 1884, Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Eliza Howard Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay to Eliza.
