B0 it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the act; entitled “Au act; Ch¤¤==¤¤0¢>g¤, for the erection of a public building at Chattanooga, Tennessee! ap- T°1E;‘{)uc buildin proved February twenty-fifth, eighteen hundred and ei ghty-five, be, and VOL 23, p_ 320_g' the same is hereby, so amended as to provide that the cost; of said build- Limit of cost iniug, iuchidiug site and building complete, shall not exceed the sum of ¤¤>==¤¤¤d· two hundred thousand dollars: Provided., That the site shall not be I’">¤>*¤•¢· purchased until estimates for the erection of a building which will furnish snilicient accommodations for the transaction of the public business, and which shall not: exceed in cost the balance of the sum herein Cost. limited after the site shall have been purchased and paid for, shall have been approved by the Secretary of the Treasury; and no purchase of site, nor plan for said building, shall be approved by the Secretary of the Treasury involving an expenditure exceeding the sum of two hundred thousand dollars for site and building. ""*_*‘—_‘ Bo it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United _ _ States of America in Congress assembled, That the Ohio Valley Railway 0h¤°V¤U¢YB¤¤1· Company, organized under act; of the general assembly of the common- H]';’;_i;;%“¥g“:%3“g wealth of Kentucky, be, and is hereby, authorized to construct and Tmdcwamrgivg, maintain a bridge, and approaches thereto, over the Tradewatcr River, Ky. ' in the State of Kentucky, at such point as said company may deem ' suitable for the passage of its said road over said river. Sec. 2. That all railroad companies desiring the use of said bridge Other ¤°¤¤P°·¤¤°¤ shall have and be entitled to equal rights and privileges relative to the *° h“"“ “"°‘ passage of railway trains over the same, and over the approaches thereto, upon the payment of a reasonable compensation for such use; and in case the owner or owners of said bridge and the several railroad companies, or any of them, desiring such use, shall tail to agree upon the sum or sums to be paid, and upon rules and conditions to which each shall conform in using said bridge, all matters at issue between them S*{°*’?3°'_{°fW“' shall be decided by the Secretary of War upon a hearing of the allega- 3*6;:: ° '°°gr°°' tions and proofs of the parties.
