States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the P¤y1¤¤¤¤ *=¤¤ Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any moneys in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Mrs. Lizzie D. Clarke, widow in community of Thomas L. Clarke, deceased, late of New Orleans, tutrix of his minor child and administratrix of his estate, the sum of sixty thousand dollars, for the loss of the steamboat Belle, said steamboat being the property of said Thomas L. Clarke and lost on the Rio Grande River while under lease by the Government of the United States under contract with the owner, the said Thomas L. Clarke. Approved, March 29, 1886.
