Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the John W._Smith. United Stat es of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary P°"“i°“ ‘""°“°d‘ of the Interior be, and he is here y, authorized and directed to place upon the pension-roll the name of John W. Smith, formerly a private of Company F, First United States Dragoons, Mexican war; also lieutenant First Indiana Cavalry and private Company D, One hundred and fifty;-sixth Indiana Volunteers, in the war of the rebellion, and to pay im a pension of twenty-five dollars per month, in - lieu of the pension he is now receivmg.
