For continuing the preservation, exhibition, and increase of the collections from the surveying and exploring expeditions of the Government, and from other sources, including salaries or compensation of all necessary em loyees, one hundred and eighty thousand dollars, of which sum five thousand five hundred dollars may be used for necessary drawin s and illustrations for publications of the National Museum; and all other necessary incidental expenses. For purchase of specimens to supplyddeiiciencies in the collections of the National Museum, ten thousand ollars. hF<§· purchase of books, pakniphlets, anfl periodicals for reference in t e ational Museum, two thousand dollars. For repairs to buildings, shops, and sheds, National Museum, including all necessary labor and material, fifteen thousand dollars. For construction of two galleries in the National Museum building, five thousand dollars. For rent of workshops and temporary storage quarters for the National Museum, four thousand four hundred dollars. NAZHONAL ZOOLOGICAL PARK: For continuing the construction of Zooloslool Pork roads, walks, bridges, water supply, sewerage and drainage; and for ` grading, planting, and otherwise improving the grounds; erecting and repairing buildings and inclosures; care, subsistence, purchase, and transportation of animals; including salaries or compensation of all necessary employees; the purchase of necessary books and periodicals, the printing and publishing of operations, not exceeding one thousand five hundred copies, and general incidental expenses not otherwise provided for, eighty thousand dollars; one-half of which sum shall be paid from the revenues of the District of Columbia and the other half from the Treasury of the United States; and of the sum hereby appropriated five thousand dollars shall be used for continuing the entrance into the Zoological Park from Cathedral avenue and opening driveway into Zoological Park, including necessary grading and removal of earth.
