All such weapons, as hereinbefore described, which may O,§if§§§§j°“ °""“‘*¥* be taken from any person offending against any of the provisions of the last preceding section shall, upon conviction of such person, be disposed of as may be ordered by the judge trying the case, and the record shall show any and all such orders relating thereto as a part of the judgment in the case. Sec. 857. SELLING, AND so roars, T0 Minions.-Any person or m§§},§§g· °"’·· ‘° persons who shall, within the District of Columbia, sell, barter, hire, ` end, or give to any minor under the age of twenty-one years any such weapon as hereinbefore described shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined not more than one hundred dollars or be imprisoned not more than three . months, or both. No person shall engage in or conduct the business Sc§¥’@§;“l,J駧§jg ‘° of selling, bartering, hiring, lending, or giving any weapon or weapons i " i of the kind hereinbefore named without having previously obtained from the Commissioners of the District of Columbia a special license authorizing the conduct of such business by such person, and the said Commissioners are hereby authorized to grant such license, without fee therefor, upon the filing with them by the a plieant therefor of a bond, with sureties to be by them approved, conditioned in such penal sum as they shall fix, to the United States, for the compliance by said applicant with all the provisions of this section, and upon any breach o1· breaches of said condition said bond shall be put in suit by said United States for its benefit, and said Commissioners may revoke said license. Any person engagin in said business without having previously -v¤¤¤¤l¤Y· obtained said special Gieense shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than one hundred dollars nor more than five hundred dollars, of which one-half shall be paid to the informer, if any, whose information shall lead to tmc conviction of the person paying said line; and in default of payment of said fine shall be imprisoned for not more than six months. All persons whose business is to sell, barter, hire, lend, or give any c,};;;¤jjS‘°r "F P“’· such weapon or weapons shall be, and they hereby are, required to` keep a written register of the name and residence of every purchaser, barterer, hirer, borrower, or douee of any such weapon or weapons, together with a full description of such weapon, which register shall be subject to the inspection of the major and superinten ent of the · Metropolitan police of the District of Columbia; and, further, to R°P°”°‘ “**l°*· °“> make a report, under oath, on or before the first Tuesday of each and every month, to said major and superintendent of all such sales, barterings, hirings, lendings, or gifts, together with the respective names and residences of the person buying or receiving such weapon. Any person failing to keep such register or to make such reports shall be lined not more than one hundred dollars and the Commissioners may revoke his license. SUBCHAPTER Form. PERJURY.·-EV€1`y person who, having taken an oath or i’¤*i¤¤‘- aiiirmation before a competent tribunal, officer, or person, in any case in which the law authorized such oath or aiiirmation to be administered, that he will testify, declare, depose, or certify truly, or that any written testimony, declaration, deposition, or certificate by him subscribed is true, willfully and contrary to such oath or affirmation states or subscribes any material matter which he does not believe to be true, shall be guilty of perjury; and any person convicted of perjury or vox. xxxr—-84
