A PROCLAMATION. _ ‘ Whereas, the Washington Forest Reserve, in the State of Washin - "°’““"‘°· ton was established b proclamation dated February twenty-second, v°"”·’·”'*`* eighteen hundred andy ninety-seven, under and by virtue of section v°"°°**’·“"· twenty-four of the Act of Conlgress, approved March third, eighteen · hundred and ninety-one, entitled, “An act to regal timber-culture laws, and for other purposes", which provides, " hat the President of the United States may, from time to timc, set a rt and reserve, in any State or Territory having public lands wholly! or in part covered with timber or nndergrowth, whether of commercial value or not, as public reservations, and the President shall, by public proclamation, declare the establishment of such reservations and the limits themdwh fm ddb t,hA fbogrh ed v”°*’“‘ n w ereas,itis ther rovi e e cto ‘ n ,a prov °· • · June fourth, eighteen hundred and ninety-seven, entitled, xAn act _ making appropriations for sundry civil exgienses of the Government for the Escal year ending June thirtieth, eighteen hundred and ninety- - eight, and for other purposes ”, that “The esident is hereby authorized at anyotime to modify any Executive order that has been or may hereafter made establishing any forest reserve, and by such modihcation may reduce the area or change the boundary lines of such ‘ reserve, or ms? vacate altopetber ar? order creating sucn reserve "; _ Now, there ore, I, Wil iam Mc inley, President of the United R§,,‘,?$2P"°“ "°“‘“' States, by virtue of the power vested in me by the aforesaid act‘of u¤5·u¤g*d°;mr¤¤ w Congress, approved June fourth, eighteen hun red and ninety-seven. P ` do hereby make known and proclaim that there are hereby withdrawn and excluded from the aforesaid Washington Forest rve and restored to the public domain all those certain tracts, pieces or parcels of land particularly described as follows, to wit: The south-west puarter of Section three (3), Sections four (4) and tive (5); the east ha f of Section nine (9), the west half of Section ten (10), the south half of Section thirteen (13), the south half of Section fourteen (14), Section fifteen (15), the north half and the south-east quarter of Section twenty-three (23), Sections twenty-four(241)f twenty-tive (25) and thirty-six (36), all in Township thirty-five (35) orth, llvange twenty (20) East, Willamette Meridian; what will be when surveyed the south half of Township thirty-two (32) North, Range twenty-one · (21) East; what will be when surveyed the north half of Township thirty-three (33) North, Range twenty-one (21) East; Townships thirty-four (34) and thirty-tive (35) North, Range twenty-one (21) East; Townships thirty-one (31) to thirty-four (34), both inclusive. ` - vox, XXXII, rr 2--—-L7 1969
