Whereas, the Yellowstone Park Timber Land Reserve, in the State *’*°¤¤=bl°· of Wyoming, was established by proclamation dated March thirtieth, eighteen hundred and ninety-one, and the boundary lines thereof were corrected by proclamation dated September tent , eighteen hundred and ninety-one, and the Teton Forest Reserve, in the State of Wyoming, was established by proclamation dated February twenty-second, eighteen hundred and ninety-seven, under and by virtue of section V¤1.¤6.i>.1103- _ twenty-four of the Act of Congress, approved March third, eighteen hundred and ninety-one, entitled, "An aet to repeal timber·culture laws, and for other purposes”, which provides, "T at the President of the United States may, from time to time, set apart and reserve, in any State or Territory having public land bearing forests, in any part of the public lands w olly or in part covered with timber or undergrowth, whether of commercial value or not, as dpublic reservations, and the President shall, by public proclamation, eclare the establishment of such reservations and the imits thereof”; And whereas, it is further provided by the Act of Congress, approved "°‘· ”°· P- “°· June fourth, eighteen hundred and mnety-seven, entitled, ‘ Rn act making appropriations for sundry civil expenses of the Government for the fiscal year ending June thirtieth, eighteen hundred and ninety- eight, and for other purposes ", that “The President is hereby authorized at any time to modify any Executive order. that has been or ma hereafter be made establishing any forest reserve, and by such moditisi cation may reduce the area or change the boundary lines of such reserve, or may vacate altogether any order creating such reserve "; And whereas, the public ands in the State of Wyoming, within the limits hereinafter described, are in part covered with timber, and it appears that the public good would be promoted by setting apart and reserving said lands as public reservations; Now, therefore, I, Tmsononn Roosnvnu, President of the United w1$<>¤<>s¤ rewvsrions States, by virtue of thepower vested in me by the aforesaid acts of ’°"""g‘ Con ress, do hereby ma e known and proclaim that, the executive prodlamations of March thirtieth, eighteen hundred and ninety-one (26 Stat., 1565), September tenth, eighteen hundred and ninety-one V<>1-26.1>·1565- (27 Stat., 989) and February twenty-second, eighteen hundred and Vol. 27. p. 989 ninety-seven (29 Stat., 906), are hereby superseded, it being one pur- V0l.29.P·906· pose of this proclamation to establish the two forest reserves hereinafter named in place of the reserves heretofore created by said execu-
