Company, of Anahuac, C ambers C0uI1ty, Texas, be, IAQ? l16I‘6by IS, authorized, under the su ervision of the Secretary of ar, to construct and maintain a bulkhead or dam across the mouth of 'I‘urtle Bay, north of Browns Pass of the Trinity River, commencing on the mainland abutting on the roperty of said company, extending westwardly about one thousand) nine hundred feet to a point three hundred feet north of the mouth of said Browns Pass, abutting on state land: P,j)c‘°g*‘**°· Provided, That said company shall, at its own expense, provide and ` keep a lock in said bulkhead or dam at such place and of such dimensions as may be approved by the Secretary o War. cum-; mu Sec. 2. That said company, under the supervision of the Secretary of War, is hereby authorized to close b dam all passes from the Trinity River to said 'l‘urtle Bay, also Jachs Pass, connecting Trinity River with Galveston Bay.
