Specific ¤p— Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Lhzed ggggfxflgfssgzf States of America, in Congress assembled, That the following sums vic, {0, 1gg5_ be, and the same are hereby, respectively, appropriated ifor the military service of the United States, for the year one thousand eight hundred and twenty-five, to wit 1 For pay of the army, and subsistence of officers, including the military academy, nine hundred and ninety-four thousand four hundred and seven dollars and seventy-five cents. For subsistence, in addition to an unexpended balance on the first of January, one thousand eight hundred and twenty-Eve, of twenty-nine thousand one hundred and eighty-eight dollars and forty-tive cents, two hundred and sixty thousand four hundred and twenty-nine dollars and fifty-five cents. d {or forage for officers, thirty-five thousand five hundred and twenty o ars. For the recruiting service in addition to an unexpended balance on the first of January, one thousand eight hundred and twenty-five, of one thousand dollars, twenty-three thousand five hundred dollars. For the contingent expenses of the recruiting service, in addition to an unexpended balance on the first of January, one thousand eight hundred and twenty-five, of eight thousand five hundred dollars, three thousand seven hundred and fifty dollars. For the purchasing department, two hundred and four thousand five hundred and forty-nine dollars and eighty-six cents. For the purchase ofwoollens, during the year one thousand eight hundred and twenty-five, in advance for the year one thousand eight hundred and twenty-six, twenty thousand dollars. For the expense of building a brick wall round the arsenal lot, on] Schuylkill, and repairs of public buildings thereon, eight thousand do lars. For medical and hospital department, in addition to amount on hand, on first of January, one thousand eight hundred and twenty-tive, of thirteen thousand dollars, twenty thousand dollars. For quartermaster gencral’s department, two hundred and eighty- four thousand nine hundred and seventy-three dollars and seventy-five OCDE.
