petit, and of commissioners and tjurors in condemnation plroceedings or service in all the courts o the District of Colum ia having cognizancepf jury trials and of condemnation proceedings, to lace the names m the jury box, and to have custody and control oip said jury box, and to draw the names of said jurors and condemnation commissioners from time to time, as hereinafter provided. The compensation of said jury commissioners shall be $10 each per day _or each day or fraction of a day when they are actually engaged in the performance of their duties, not to exceed five days in any one month, which shall be paid by the United States marshal for the District of Columbia out of the appropriation for pay of bailiifs, Removal for ·==m¢· upon the certificate of said commissioners. The said Supreme Court of the District of Columbia, in general term, shall have ower summarily to remove any of said commissioners for absence, inability, or_ failure to perform his duties as such commissioner, or for any mrsfeasance or malfeasance, and to appoint another person for the unexpired term.
