"The number of animals so issued shall not exceed thirty-two for ,u§°§{§f‘"°"“ ‘°* '·"' each battery of field artillery or troop of cavalry, and a pro rtionate number for other mounted organizations, under such regnilgtions as the Secretary of War may prescribe; and the Secretary of War is further authorized to issue, in lieu of purchase, for the traming of such organizations, condemned Army animals which are no longer lit for service, but which may be suitable for the purposes of instruction, such animals to be sol as now provided by aw when said purposes shall have been served." _ . Sec. 46. That section 90 of said Act be, and the same is hereby, V°‘·”·’·“°“· xendted by striking out the same and inserting the following in lieu ereo : "Sec. 90.
