Davis and the W. C. Bradley Company for losses suifered by reason of inabilit of these parties to remove their improvements from lands transfyerred by deed to the United States although expressly granted such right of removal by the prior contracts of sale. Approved, February 28, 1923. CHAP. 162.-An Act To provide for the imuance to John W. Stanton by the Fa [S-Zgflumi Secretary of the Interior of patent to certain land, upon payment therefor at the rate [P¤'iv¤¢¤» N0- 201-1 of $1.25 per acre. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the mm wsmm, United States of America in Ocngress assembled, That the Secretary L**¤dP°°°¤”‘°· of the Interior is hereby authorized, in his discretion, to issue patent to John W. Stanton, of Great Falls, Montana, for the west half of the southwest quarter of section two, the north half of the northwest - quarter of section eleven, and the northeast quarter of the southeast quarter of section three, all in township twenty-three north of range four east, principal meridian of Montana, upon payment by said John W. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Oangress assembled, That the core- tary of the Treasury is hereby authorized and_ directed to pay out amnnessee. of any mone in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Herbert E. Miilstrup, formerly an enlisted man in the Forty-first Company of Engineers, unassigned, the sum of $53.40, the same being the value 0 personal property lost in a manner unknown when the said compan was discharged from service in_the Army, and while the said Hirbert E. Mei strap was confined in Genera I—Iospital Numbered 25, Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana, suifering from pneumonia, during the month of December, 1918, the said personal propertly having been reasonable, useful, necessary, and proper for an en isted man while in quarters, engaged in the public service, in the line of duty, and having been_ lost without fault or negligence on the part of the owner, and claim for replacement of such property or recoupment of damages having been disallowed by the proper accounting officers of the Treasury, which decision was sustained on review.
