Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the [P““°°'N°‘ 1°°‘] _ United States of America in Congress assembled, That the claim ,,,?$,‘§wI(,’§{§'? Em"` of the Great Lakes Engineering Works, a corporation organized m}}’{S§§ub’g’;§1,a$g Q; under the laws of the State of Michigan, with its principal place of S¢e¤mSb1p,,‘(Fr¤¤3k H. business in the city of Detroit, in said State, owner of the steam— m dwtm ship Frank H. Goodyear, and certain docks on the Detroit River, at Ecorse, Michigan, against the United States for damages alleged to have been caused by collision between the United States steamship Isla de Luzon and said steamship Frank H. Goodyear on May 24, 1917, in the Detroit River, at Ecorse, Michigan, may be sued for by the Great Lakes Engineering Works in the District Court of the United States for the Eastern District of Michigan, sitting as a J““"“°“°" °'°°““· court of admiralty and acting under the rules governing such court, and said court shall have jurisdiction to hear and determine such suit and to enter a judgment or decree for the amoimt of such damages and costs if any, as shall be found to be due a ainst the United States in favor of the Great Lakes Engineering Woiis, or against the Great Lakes Engineering Works in favor of the United States, upon the same principles and measures of liability as in like cases in admiralty between private parties and with the same rights of appeal: Provided, That such notice of the suit shall be given to mh Mmm the Attorney General of the United States as may be provided by oenmi.
