WEATHER BUREAU SALARIES AND GENERAL EXPENSES For carryi ng int o effe ct in the Di strict of Col umbia and el sewher e in the United States, in the West Indies, in the Panama Canal, the Caribbean Sea, and on adjacent coasts, in the Hawaiian Islands, in Bermuda, and in Alaska the provisions of an Act approved October 1, 1890 (U. S . C ., p . 381, sees. 311-313, 317), so far as they relate to the weather service transferred thereby to the Department of Agri- culture, and the amendment thereof contained in section 5 (e) of the Air Commerce Act of 1926 (U . S.
