After December 31, 1935, every s uch applicant shall ca iossafter December be required to submit, before he is referred to an examining board for examination, evidence of not less than two years' education in a college acceptable to the commission and not less than four graded resident courses of professional study of not less than nine months each, in the same manner and to the same extent as are required of other applicants for licenses to practice the healing art .
