Office of Chief of Engineers : In addition to the sum authorized under this head in the War Department Appropriation Act for the V ol .45, p. 1349 . fiscal year 1930, the further expenditure of not to exceed $15,400 is authorized for employment only in the office of the Chief of Engi- neers of the services of skilled draftsmen, civil engineers, and such other services as the Secretary of War may deem necessary to carry in to eff ect th e vari ous ap propri ations for r ivers and ha rbors, surve ys, and preparation for and the consideration of river and harbor esti- mat es and bills, to be paid from suc h appropriations .
