The provision in the Second Deficiency Act, 1929 (45 Stat., p . 1625), transferring jurisdiction of the Weather Bureau property at Mount Wea ther, Virginia , from the Se cretary of Ag riculture to t he Director of Public Buildings and Public Parks is hereby repealed and any balance of the $48,000 appropriated in said Act for expendi- ture during the fiscal years 1929 and 1930 unobligated at the time this Act is approved, shall be covered into the Treasury of the United States, and the status which the property had March 4, 1929, prior to the passage of the Deficiency Act is hereby restored, including the authorization for sale of the property by the Secretary of Agri- culture c ontained in th e Act of Marc h 13, 1928 (45 Stat., p . 311) Pro vide d, That upon passage of th is Act any un expended bala nce of the $2,000 of the appropriation, " Salaries and expenses, Weather Bureau, 1930," transferred to the Office of Public Buildings and Public Parks by the Second Deficiency Act, 1929, is hereby retrans- ferred to the said appropriation of the Weather Bureau and made immediately available for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1930 . R ENT OF BUILDINGS IN THE DIS TRI CT OF COLUMBIA For rent of buil dings and par ts of building s in the Dist rict of Columbia, for use of the various bureaus, divisions, and offices of the Department o f Agriculture , $100,000 an d the unexpend ed balance of the appropriation for rent of buildings and parts of buildings in the District of Columbia for use of the various bureaus, divisions, and offices of the Department of Agriculture for the fiscal year 1930 is continued available for the same purpose during the fiscal year 1931 : Provided, That only such part of this sum shall be available to pay rent for space which can no t be furnishe d by the Publi c Buildings Commi ssion in Gov ernme nt bui ldings locat ed in the D istric t of Columbia .
