Shaw, who pur- ports to have suffered injury while employed as rural mail carrier some time in October, 1918, in the same manner and to the same extent as if said John S. Bacon, $1,000, these sums having been collected by the Post Office Inspection Department in the amounts named from these employees' personal funds to make up a shortage of funds embezzled by Charles E.
