619 their discharges, $121,475,093 ; and the money herein appropriated for " Pay, and so forth, of the Army " shall be accounted for as one fund except that no amount in this paragraph specifically limited may be increased : Provided, That no part of this appropriation shall be available to pay any officer detailed as a military aide to any civil officer of the United States outside of the War Department except the President : Provided further, That no appropriation contained in this Act shall be available for or on account of the maintenance of more than thirty-two military attaches : Provided furth er, Th at no appropriation contained in this Act shall be avail- able for or on account of the maintenance of more than eighty-three ba nd s : Pro vided furthe r, That duri ng the fiscal year ending J une 30, 1935, no officer of the Army shall be entitled to receive an addi- tion to his pay in consequence of the provisions of the Act approved May 11 , 1908 (U .S .C ., title 10, sec . 803), or of section 1261 of the Revised Statutes (U .S .C ., title 10, sec . 692) . None of the money appropriated in this Act shall be used to pay any officer on the retired list of the Army who for himself or for others engages in the selling, contracting fr the sale of, negotiating for the sale of, or furnishing to the Army or the War Department any supplies, materials, equipment, lands, buildings, plants, vessels, or munitions . EXPENSES OF COURTS-MARTIAL For expenses of courts-martial, courts of inquiry, military com- missions, retiring boards, and compensation of reporters and wit- nesses attending same, contract stenographic reporting services, and expenses of taking depositions and securing other evidence for use before the same, $55,000 . APPREHENSION OF DESERTERS, AND SO FORTH For the apprehension, securing, and delivering of soldiers absent without leave and of deserters, including escaped military prisoners, and the expenses incident to their pursuit ; and no greater sum than $25 for each deserter or escaped military prisoner shall, in the dis- cretion of the Secretary of War, be paid to any civil officer or citizen for such services and expenses ; for a donation of $10 to prisoner discharged otherwise than honorably upon his release from confine- men t un der cour t-ma rtia l se nten ce i nvol ving dis hono rabl e di scha rge, $20,000.
