JeweU.z.. . .widow of John F. Jewell, late Ameri- can consul at Birmingham, .I!Ingland, the sum of $7,000, being one year's salary of her deceased husband, who died of illness incurred while in the Consular Service; and there is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, a sufficient sum to carry out the purpose of this Act.
