10 95 [CHAPTER 11 .1 AN ACT Authorizing the Secretary of War to convey to the University of Oregon certain Janu [s ary 97e 2s, .1 1s36 . . lands forming a part of the Co os Head River and Harbor Reservation . Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States o f America in Congress assembled, That the Secr etary of War is authorized and directed to convey by quitclaim deed to the University of Oregon, State of Oregon, subject to the conditions hereinafter specified, the following described part of the Coos Head River and Harbor Reservation situated on the south shore of the entrance to Coos Bay in Coos County, Oregon

All of lot 3, section 2, township 26 south, range 14 west, Willamette meridian, except the west seven hundred and fifty feet of said lot heretofore conveyed to the University of Oregon : Provided, Tha t such c onveyanc e shall not be made until th e Civili an Conse rvation Corps ha s relinq uished t he use and occupanc y of sai d land . SEC . 2 . The lands herein authorized to be conveyed shall be used by the University of Oregon solely for scientific and educational purposes subject, however, to the right of the United States, in case Fe dera l of war or other emergency, to assume control of, hold, use, and served . occupy said lands or any part thereof for any and all military, naval, or other governmental purposes, and subject at all times to the rights of the United States stated in section 3 hereof . The deed executed . Reversionary by the Secretary of War under the provisions of section 1 of this Act "on' shall contain the express condition that if the University of Oregon shall at any time attempt to alienate said lands that same shall revert to the United States . SEC . 3 . The lands herein authorized to be conveyed to the Univer- Prior rights, etc . sity of Oregon shall at all times be subject to the right of the United States to occupy and use such part thereof as are now or may here- after be needed fo r jetty site o r sites, for rights-of-way for tramways to such jetty site or sites, and for ingress and egress by persons engaged in river and harbor work ; and the United States shall at all times h ave prio r right to three -fourths of the natural flow of streams draining lots 2 and 3 . To empower the health officer of the District of Columbia to authorize the [x .1016 .1 opening of graves, and the disinterment and reinterment of dead bodies, in cases where death has been caused by certain contagious diseases . Be it enacted by the Senate and Hawse of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That section 93 of title 5 of the Code of Law for the District of Columbia is hereby amended by adding thereto the following proviso : "Provided, That th e he alth off icer of the Dist rict of Colu mbia may , in his dis cret ion, authorize the opening, under sanitary precautions, of any such grave, and the disinterment and reinterment in the sa me grave or other suitable burial ground, of the dead body of any person who has died of any of the contagious diseases enumerated above ."
