Approved, May 20, 1936 . [CHAPTER 440 .] AN ACT To convey certain lands to Clack amas County, Oregon, for public-park purposes . Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior is authorized and directed to issue a patent to Clack- amas County, Or egon, on behalf of the United Stat es, for the south half southwest quarter and the west half northeast quarter southwest quarter section 11, township 3 south, range 4 east, Willamette merid- ian, in the State of Oregon, containing one h undred acres, mor e or less, on condition that such county shall accept and use such lands solely for public-park purposes; but if such county shall at any time cease to use such lands for public-park purposes, or shall permit the use of such lands for any other purpose, or shall alienate or attempt to alienate them, they shall revert to the United States : Provided, That there shall be reserved to the United States, its patentees, or their transferees, the right to cut and remove therefrom the merchant- able timber, reserving to Cl ackamas County, O regon, when such sale is made under the provisions of the Act of June 9, 1916 (39 Stat . 218), a preference right to purchase the timber at the highest price bid . SEC . 2 . The Secretary of the Interior shall prescribe all necessary regulations to carry into effect the foregoi ng provisions of this Act . Approved, May 21, 1936 . Provisos . No Federal expense .
