A PROCLAMATION
Agreement with Germany terminating part of existing Treaty of Friendship, Commerce, etc.

Whereas an Agreement between the United States of America and Germany terminating parts of Article VII of the Treaty of Friendship, Commerce and Consular Rights between the two countries signed December 8, 1923, was concluded and signed by their respective Plenipotentiaries at Washington on the third day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five, the original of which Agreement, being in the English and German languages, is word for word as follows:
The undersigned duly authorized representatives of the United States of America and Germany on behalf of their respective Governments have reached the following Agreement:
Article I.
Most-favored nation, etc., provisions abrogated. The second, third, fourth, sixth, and seventh paragraphs of Article VII of the Treaty of Friendship, Commerce, and Consular Rights between the United States of America and Germany signed December 8th, 1923, shall cease to have force and effect on and after the day on which this Agreement comes into force.
Article II.
Effective date. The present Agreement shall become operative on October 14th, 1935, and on and after that day shall have full force and effect as an integral part of the said Treaty of Friendship, Commerce, and Consular Rights.
