ARTICLE XII The present Agreement shall, from the date on which it comes into force, supplant the agree- ment by exchange of notes signed by the United States of America and the United States of Brazil on October 18, 1923. ARTICLE XIII The United States of America and the United States of Brazil, animated by their traditions of amity and by the spirit which im- pelled them to enter into this Agreement, declare their inten- tion of studying the possibility of concludin~ other agreements de- signed to nnprove and strengthen their present relations, their trade interchange, their maritime, aerial and postal connections, with a view to bringing still closer to- gether the peoples of the two nations. America, animados pela sua tradi~ao de amizade e pelo espirito que dictou este tratado, declaram a sua inten~ao de estudar a possibili- dade da conclusao de outros ac- cordos que visem melhorar e in- tensificar as suas rclac;oes actuaes, o intercambio de ambos os paizes, as suas liga~oes maritimo.s, aereas e postaes, a fim de aproxi- mar, ainda mnis, os POYOS das duas na~oes.
