P/t&. of the Act entitled "An Act to provide compensation for employees ., of the United States suffering injuries while in the performance of their duties, and for other purposes ", approved September 7, 1916, as amended, the United States Employees Compensation Commis- sion is hereby authorized and directed to receive and consider, when filed, the claIm of Joe G. Baker, of Gas City, Indiana, for disability alleged to have been incurred by him on the 6th day of August 1931 while in the employment of the Veterans' Administration Hospital at Marion, Indiana, and to determine said claim upon its merits:

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa.tives of the United States of America in Oongress assembled, That the Secretarv of the Treasury is authorized ami directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Arthur Smith, of Roanoke, Indiana, the sum of $5,000, in full satisfaction of all claims of such Arthur Smith against the United States for damages resulting from injuries received by him whpn struck by a United States Army Truck, driven by one Jerry E.
