Congress assembled, That the following sums be, and the same are hereby, appropriated, to be paid out of any unappropriated money in the Treasury, for the preservation, repairs, and construction of certain fortifications, in the year eighteen hundred and forty-two, viz.: Fort Preble. For repairs at Fort Preble, Portland, Maine, one thousand dollars. FortScammeL For repairs of Fort Scammel, Portland, Maine, five thousand dollars.
