Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Alie Rnkin. United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secre- Payment to. tary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of $5,000 to Allie Rankin, of route numbered 2, Wheelers- burg, Ohio, in full satisfaction of her claim against the United States for personal injuries and disease contracted by her when she fell through the floor of a sanitary unit, on January 3, 1936, which unit had been negligently constructed in Scioto County, Ohio, by Pttioo. a employees of the Works Progress Administration: Provided, That Lrnitation on attor- ey's, etc., fees. no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or agents, attorney or attorneys, on account of services rendered in connection with said claim. It shall be unlawful for any agent or agents, attorney or attorneys to exact, collect, withhold or receive any sum of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof on account of services rendered in connection with said Penalty for viol, claim, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. Any person violating the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a mis- demeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Comp- troller General of the United States is hereby authorized and directed to credit the accounts of W. R. Fuchs, former disbursing clerk, July 9, 1937 [H. R. 1689] [Private, No. 222] n ti July 9, 1937 [H. R. 3339] IPrivate. No. 2231 n 1026 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Dominga Pardo. United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary aymentto. of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of $1,500 to Dominga Pardo, of New York City, in full satisfaction of her claim against the United States for injuries sustained as a result of being struck by a United States mail truck of the Post Office Department, New York, New York, on October Priiton onattor- 1, 1935: Provided, That no part of the amount appropriated in this ey's, etc., fees.
