CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION Salaries and expenses: For an additional amount for salaries and expenses, Civil Service Commission, fiscal year 1939, including the same objects specified under this head in the Independent Offices Appropriation Act, 1939, $200,000. Printing and binding: For an additional amount for printing and binding for the Civil Service Commission, fiscal year 1939, including the same objects specified under this head in the Independent Offices Appropriation Act, 1939, $8,000. COMMISSION FOR THE COMMEMORATION OF THE BATTLES OF CHICKA- MAUGA, LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, CHATTANOOGA, AND MISSIONARY RIDGE For carrying out the provisions of the joint resolution entitled "Joint resolution to authorize an appropriation to aid in defraying the expenses of the observance of the seventy-fifth anniversary of the Battles of Chickamauga, Georgia, Lookout Mountain, Tennessee, and Missionary Ridge, Tennessee; and commemorate the one-hundredth anniversary of the removal from Tennessee of the Cherokee Indians, at Chattanooga, Tennessee, and at Chickamauga, Georgia, from Sep- tember 18 to 24, 1938, inclusive; and for other purposes", approved June 10, 1938, fiscal years 1938 and 1939, $35,000. COMMODITY CREDIT CORPORATION Administrative expenses: The limitation of $520,288 for adminis- trative expenses of the Commodity Credit Corporation for the fiscal year 1939 contained in the Independent Offices Appropriation Act, 1939, is hereby increased to $700,000. FEDEIIAL POWER COMMISSION Salaries and expenses: For an additional amount for salaries and expenses of the Federal Power Commission, fiscal year 1939, includ- ing the same objects specified under this head in the Independent Offices Appropriation Act, 1939, $250,000: Provided, That the limita- tion of $855,000 as the amount that may be expended for the personal services in the District of Columbia from the appropriation under this head in the Independent Offices Appropriation Act, 1939, is hereby increased to $875,000. For an additional amount for salaries and expenses of the Federal Power Commission, fiscal year 1939, including the same objects spec- ified under this head in the Independent Offices Appropriation Act, 1939, $125,000: Provided, That the limitation under this head in said Act upon the amount that may be expended for personal services in the District of Columbia is hereby increased to $1,140,000: Provided further, That such sum shall not become available unless and until that section of H. R. 10618, Seventy-fifth Congress, a bill "Author- izing the construction of certain public works on rivers and harbors for flood control, and for other purposes", which authorizes the appropriation of funds to the Federal Power Commission is enacted into law.
