ROADS AND BRIDGES For maintenance and repair of that portion of the Gallup-Shiprock Highway within the Navajo Reservation, New Mexico, including the purchase of machinery, $20,000, reimbursable: Provided, That other than for supervision and engineering only Indian labor shall be employed for such maintenance and repair work. For construction, improvement, repair, and maintenance of Indian reservation roads under the provisions of the Acts of May 26, 1928 (25 U. S. C . 318a), and June 16, 1936 (49 Stat. 1521), $1,000,000, to be immediately available and to remain available until expended: Provided, That not to exceed $11,200 of the foregoing amount may be expended for personal services in the District of Columbia: Pro- vided further, That not to exceed $100,000 of this appropriation shall be available for purchase, lease, construction or repair of structures for housing road materials, supplies and equipment; and for quarters for road crews but the cost of any structure erected hereunder shall not exceed $7,500.
