Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury is authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Albert Ferguson and Ozelle Ferguson, Joe Wheeler Dam, Alabama, the sum of $3,500, in full settlement of all claims against the United States for the death of their minor child, Doris Ann Ferguson, on June 22, 1942, caused b being run over by a truck in the service of and operated by the Tennessee Valley Authority: Provided,That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Marguerite R. McElroy, of Uxbridge, Massachusetts, the sum of $98.75 in full settlement of all her claims against the United States for property damage sustained by her as a result of an automobile accident which occurred on the 7th day of October 1940, and involved a Government- owned motor vehicle operated by an employee of the Work Projects Administration: Provided, That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding.
