[CHAPTER 331] AN ACT For the relief of the estate of James Arthur Wilson, deceased. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury is authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to the estate of James Arthur Wilson, deceased, the sum of $6,000, in full settlement of all claims against the United States on account of the death of the said James Arthur Wilson, which resulted from an accident involving an Army truck in Greensboro, North Carolina, on July 20, 1944: Pro- vided, That no part of the amount appropriated by this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. [CHAPTER 344] AN ACT For the relief of the duly appointed receiver of North Jersey Utilization and Sewerage Disposal Plant, Incorporated, or to such other person or persons as are legally authorized to collect the assets thereof. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury is authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of $9,000 to the duly appointed receiver of North Jersey Utilization and Sewerage Disposal Plant, Incorporated, or to such other person or persons as are legally authorized to collect the assets thereof, in full settlement of all claims against the United States arising out of a contract with the War Department dated October 2, 1917 for the rental and restora- tion of certain lands in Palisade Township, Bergen County, New Jersey, leased to and utilized by the United States Government during the First World War as a site for the sewage disposal plant at Camp Merritt, New Jersey: Provided, That no part of the amount appro- priated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding.
