And be it further enacted, That there shall be a meeting of ¤¤¤¢¤¤S- the members of the said society held on the second Monday in February next, and on the same day in every year thereafter at the school-house erected by the said society, at which time and place the said members, or such of them as may be present, shall elect and choose by ballot, from their own number, twelve trustees to serve for the year ensuing their election, and until others shall be elected or appointed to serve in their place. And be it further enacted, That the trustees shall keep, or keep regular cause to be kept, in suitable books for the purpose, Just and proper en- °°°°““*?°l'h°l*` tries of all proceedings and accounts of said school and corporation, Pl°°°edmgS' and have them laid before the society at every annual meeting, previous totaking the votes; and shall always deliver the said books, together with all the property of said school and corporation, in good order, to their successors in office, whenever required. Apprentices Sec. 7. And be it further enacted, That children may be bound (in mw b¢ b0¤¤d the manner now by law provided) to the said society; the deed or arti- £;h‘2;’g'p°t°‘ cles of apprenticeship, to be executed on the part of the said society by ’any two of the trustees thereof; and it shall be agreed by the said deed, on the part of the said society, that every such child or children shall be provided with all necessary food, clothing and lodging, and taught reading, writing and arithmetic, and be placed in the service oi, and under the control and management of, some discreet and fit person, competent to instruct and educate the said apprentice, in some trade or employment, which may enable such child or children to earn a living by honest industry. Ll.-An det for the relief rye Thomas On-. gpngpmmon Be it enacted, dec., That Thomas Orr be, and he is hereby confirmed vf land pur- in the purchase of the south-east quarter of section number eleven, town- °h““· ship seven, and range two in the Steubenville district, " at the rate of eight dollars per acre, and that the sum of three hundred and twenty dollars paid by the said Thomas Orr on account of the purchase money of the said quarter section on the fourteenth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and six, shall by the register and receiver of public moneys of the land office for the district aforesaid be placed to his credit, and be considered the first instalment of the purchase money due on said quarter section; and that the further sum of one hundred and fifty-eight dollars and eighty-five cents paid by Martin Andrews on the fourth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and eleven, on account of the purchase money of said quarter section, shall, by the register and receiver aforesaid, be placed to the credit of the said Thomas Orr, and be considered as part of the second instalment, which shall become due und payable on account of the purchase money of the said quarter secr tion, on the fourth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and thirteen; and if the said Thomas Orr shall pay the balance of the said second instalment on the said fourth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and thirteen, and the balance of the purchase money due on said quarter section, in two equal annual instalments, in the same manner as is provided by law for the purchasers of public lands, the said Thomas Orr, his heirs or assigns, shall be entitled to a patent for the said quarter section."
