[H. . 2728] [Private Law 412] Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary R H. Sind le- of the Treasury is authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to R. H. Sindle, Gallatin, Tennessee, the sum of $101.54. The payment of such sum shall be in full settlement of all claims of the said R. H. Sindle against the United States for the loss of, and damage to, certain personal property owned by him as the result of acts of depredation committed by members of the United States Army on March 222 1944: Provided, That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. Frank Jam es. of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to C. Frank James the sum of $5,364, in full settlement of all claims against the United States arising out of the death of his minor son, John Ronald James, resulting from an accident involving a United States Army truck on the Goldsboro-Kenly Highway, near Goldsboro, North Carolina, on October 13, 1944: Provided, That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding.
