PUBLIC LAWS-CHS. 430-432-AUG. 1, 1947 [CHAPTER 430] [61 STAT. AN ACT To amend section 251 of the Internal Revenue Code. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That section 251 of 53 Stat. 79 the Internal Revenue Code (relating to income from sources within U possessions of the United States) is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof a new subsection to read as follows: "(i) PRISONERS OF WAR AND INTERNEES. -In the case of a citizen of the United States taken as a prisoner of war while serving within a possession of the United States as a member of the military or naval forces of the United States, and in the case of a citizen interned by the enemy while serving as an employee within a possession of the United States- "(1) if such citizen was confined in any place not within a possession of the United States, such place of confinement shall, for the purposes of this section, be considered as within a posses- sion of the United States; and "(2) any compensation received within the United States by such citizen attributable to the period of time during which such citizen was a prisoner of war or interned by the enemy shall, for the purposes of subsection (b), be considered as compensation received outside the United States." Applicability. SEC. 2 . The amendment made by this Act shall be applicable to taxable years beginning after December 31, 1941. Approved August 1, 1947. [CHAPTER 431] August 1, 1947 [H. AN ACT To amend the Federal Home Loan Bank Act, and for other purposes. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That subsection (b) of section 10 of the Federal Home Loan Bank Act is hereby amended by striking the words "twenty years" appearing in the first sentence thereof, and inserting in lieu thereof the words "twenty-five years". Approved August 1, 1947. [CHAPTER 432] AN ACT Relating to the sale of the Mission Point Lighthouse Reservation, Grand Traverse County, Michigan. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That, notwithstand- ing the provisions of the Surplus Property Act of 1944 or of any other law, the Federal Works Administrator is hereby authorized, in his discretion, to sell for use as a public park all that tract or parcel of land lying in lots 1 and 2 of section 23, township 30 north, range 10 west, in the county of Grand Traverse and State of Michigan, contain- ing five and thirty-eight one-hundredths acres of land, more or less, together with all buildings, structures, and improvements thereon (known as the Mission Point Lighthouse Reservation), in the manner and subject to the terms and conditions provided in the Act entitled "An Act to authorize the sale of Federal buildings", approved August 26, 1935 (U.
