It is understood that-ny agreements which might be arrived at pursuant to paragraph 2 of Ar- ticle IX would be subject to rati- fication by the Senate of the United States of America. 9. It is understood that in the event it is proposed to make assit- ance available to Sweden on a grant basis, the two Governments will consult with a view to amending the Agreement so as to make adeqaate provision for the deposit of local currency in accordance with the requirements of the Economic Co- operation Act of 1948, acts amenda- tory and supplementary thereto and appropriation acts thereunder. 8.
