62 STAT.] CHINA-ECONOMIC COOPERATION-JULY 3, 1948 ARTICLE XII. 1. This agreement shall become effective on this day's date. It shall remain in force until June 30, 1950 and, unless at least six months before June 30, 1950, either Government shall have given the other notice in writing of intention to terminate the Agreement on that date, it shall remain in force thereafter until the expiration of six months from the date on which such notice shall have been given. Article V shall remain in effect until all the sums in the currency of China required to be disposed of in accordance with its own terms have been disposed of as provided in such Article. 2. This Agreement may be amended at any time by agreement between the two Governments. 3. The Annex to this Agreement forms an integral part thereof. 4. This Agreement shall be registered with the Secretary-Gen- eral of the United Nations. In witness whereof the respective representatives duly authorized for the purpose have signed the present Agreement. Done at Nanking in duplicate in the English and Chinese lan- guages, both texts authentic, this third day of July 1948, corresponding to the third day of the seventh month of the thirty-seventh year of the Republic of China.
