SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION Grants to States for public assistance For an additional amount for "Grants to States for public assist- ance", $151,000,000. Grants to States for Unemployment Compensation and Employment Service Administration For an additional amount for "Grants to States for unemployment compensation and employment service administration", $14,000,000, of which $4,000,000 shall be available only upon determination by the Federal Security Administrator, with the approval of the Director of the Bureau of the Budget, that increased costs have resulted either from (1) increases in work load, or (2) increases in salaries of State employees, occurring after February 1, 1949. FEDERAL WORKS AGENCY PUBLIC BUILDINGS ADMINISTRATION General Accounting Office Building, District of Columbia The contract authority provided under this head in the Second Deficiency Appropriation Act, 1948, for the construction of a building 62 Stat. 1033. for the use of the General Accounting Office, is increased in an amount not to exceed $2,550,000 under the revised limit of cost of $25,400,000. BUREAU OF COMMUNITY FACILITIES Maintenance and Operation of Schools For an additional amount for "Maintenance and operation of schools", $3,000,000; and the limitation under this head in the Second Deficiency Appropriation Act, 1948, on the amount available for 62Stat. 1034 . administrative expenses, is increased from "$100,000" to "$137,500". HOUSING AND HOME FINANCE AGENCY FEDERAL HOUSING ADMINISTRATION The amount made available under this head in the Government Corporations Appropriation Act, 1949, for administrative expenses of 2stt. 1189. the Federal Housing Administration, is increased from "$19,000,000" to "$23,500,000"; and the sources of funds fbr such administrative expenses shall include the housing investment insurance fund created by the Housing Act of 1948. 62Stat.120 HOUSING EXPEDITER SALARIES AND EXPENSES For an additional amount for "Salaries and expenses, Office of the P w b p.-25 Housing Expediter", $4,800,000. 79
