LOAN TO UNITED NATIONS For carrying out the provisions of the Act of August 11, 1948 (Public Law 903), authorizing a loan to the United Nations, $65,000,000, to remain available until June 30, 1955. The appropriations under this head in the Department of State Appropriation Act, 1949, shall be available for the purchase in the name of the United States of America, for a consideration not in excess of $1,500, of a tract of land within lot 4 and the southwest quarter southeast quarter of section 28, township 8 south, range 24 west, Gila and Salt River meridian, Yuma County, Arizona, containing seven and eighty-two one-hundredths acres, more or less, needed for the east abutment of the Morelos Diversion Dam across the Colorado River, being constructed in accordance with article 12 of the treaty of February 3,1944, between the United States and Mexico, the acquisi- tion of which land by the United States is required by the provisions of article 23 of said treaty.
