CHAPTER VI Definitions Article 48 Definitions In this Convention, unless the context otherwise requires, a) the terms which are defined in Annex 2 of this Convention shall P o, . 1483. have the meanings therein assigned to them; b) other terms which are defined in the Regulations referred to in Article 18 shall have the meanings therein assigned to them. CHAPTER VII Final Provisions Article 49 Effective date of the Convention The present Convention shall enter into force on January first Pot,p .2140. nineteen hundred forty nine between countries, territories or groups of territories, in respect of which instruments of ratification or acces- sion have been deposited before that date. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the respective plenipotentiaries have signed Itu'r. the Convention in each of the English and French languages, in a single copy, in which in case of dispute, the French text shall be authentic, and which shall remain deposited in the archives of the Authentic text.
