INTERNATIONAL AGREEMENTS OTHER THAN TREATIES [63 STAT. AIR TRANSPORT AGREE- MENT BETWEEN THE GOV- ERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND THE GOVERNMENT OF THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC Having in mind the resolution signed under date of December 7, 1944, at the International Civil Aviation Conference in Chicago, [1] for the adoption of a standard form of agreement for air routes and services, and the desirability of mutually stimulating and pro- moting the further development of air transportation between the United States of America and the Dominican Republic, the two Gov- ernments parties to this arrange- ment agree that the establishment and development of air transport services between their respective territories shall be governed by the following provisions: ARTICLE 1 Rights. Each contracting party grants to the other contracting party the Po' p.2a. rights as specified in the Annex hereto necessary for establishing the international civil air routes and services therein described, whether such services be inaugu- rated immediately or at a later date at the option of the contract- ing party to whom the rights are granted. PORTE AEREO ENTRE EL GOBIERNO DE LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS DE AMERICA Y EL GOBIERNO DE LA REPU- BLICA DOMINICANA Teniendo en cuenta la resolu- ci6n firmada en fecha 7 de diciem- bre de 1944 en la Conferencia Internacional de Aviaci6n Civil de Chicago para la adopci6n de una forma comin de acuerdos sobre rutas y servicios a6reos, y teniendo en cuenta la conveniencia de estimular y promover mutua- mente el desarrollo de la trans- portaci6n a6rea entre los Estados Unidos de America y la Repdblica Dominicana, los dos Gobiernos signatarios de este acuerdo con- vienen en que el establecimiento y desarrollo de los servicios de trans- portaci6n aerea entre sus respec- tivos territorios estaran regidos por las disposiciones siguientes: ARTICULO 1 Cada parte contratante otorga a la otra los derechos especificados en el Anexo de este acuerdo, los cuales son necesarios para el esta- blecimiento de las rutas y servicios aereos, civiles e internacionales, descritos en aqu6l, sea que dichos servicios se inauguren de inmediato o en una fecha posterior, a opci6n de la parte contratante a la cual se otorguen los derechos.
