Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That, for the purposes of the immigration and naturalization laws. Doctor Chai Chang Choi shall be held and considered to have been lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence as of the date of the enactment of this Act, upon payment of the required visa fee and head tax. Upon the granting of permanent residence to such alien as provided for in this Act, the Secretary of State shall instruct the proper quotacontrol officer to deduct one number from the appropriate quota for the first year that such quota is available. CHAPTER 45
AN ACT For the relief of Henry Bongart and Evelyn Bongart.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That, in the administration of the immigration and naturalization laws, Henry Bongart and Evelyn Bongart shall not be held to have lost United States citizenship under any of the provisions of the Nationality Act of 1940 providing for loss of citizenship through continuous residence in a foreign state: Provided, That the said Henry Bongart and Evelyn Bongart return to the United States for permanent residence within a period of one year following the effective date of this Act. Approved February 15, 1952.
