SEC. 443. (a) The Administrator shall pay to the widow of each veteran of World W a r II or of the Korean conflict— (1) who met the service requirements of section 421, and at the time of his death had a service-connected disability for which compensation would have been payable if 10 per centum or more in degree disabling; or (2) who, at the time of his death, was receiving (or entitled to receive) compensation or retirement pay based upon a serviceconnected disability; a pension at the rate prescribed by section 441 for the widow of a veteran of World W a r I. (b)(1) No pension shall be paid to a widow of a veteran of World W a r II under this section unless she was married to him before January 1, 1957. (2) No pension shall be paid to a widow of a veteran of the Korean conflict under this section unless she was married to him before February 1, 1965. SEC. 444. Whenever there is no widow entitled to pension under section 443, the Administrator shall pay to the children of each veteran of World W a r II or of the Korean conflict described in paragraph (1) or (2) of section 443(a) a pension at the rate prescribed by section 442 for the children of a veteran of World War I. SEC. 445. (a) No pension shall be paid under this subpart to any widow without child, or to or on account of any child whose annual income exceeds $1,400, or to a widow (with a child) whose annual income exceeds $2,700. (b) Where pension is not payable to a widow because of this section, payments to children shall be made as though there were no widow. SEC. 460. (a) There shall be in the Department of the AiTny, the Department of the Navy, and the Department of the Air Force, respectively, a roll designated as the "Army, Navy, and Air Force Medal of Honor Roll". (b) Upon written application to the Secretary concerned, the Secretary shall enter and record on such roll the name of each surviving person who has served in the active military, naval, or air service of the United States in any war, who has attained the age of sixty-five years, and who has been awarded a medal of honor for having in action involving actual conflict with an enemy distinguished himself conspicuously by gallantry or intrepidity, at the risk of his life, above and beyond the call of duty, and who was honorably discharged from service by muster out, resignation, or otherwise. (c) Applications for entry on such roll shall be made in the form and under regulations prescribed by the Department concerned. Proper blanks and instructions shall be furnished by the Secretary concerned, without charge upon the request of any person claiming the benefits of this part. 84352 O - 58 - 10
