neither due nor callable for redemption for fifteen years from date of issue. The provisions of this subsection insofar as they relate to the Bureau of Reclamation and the Secretary of the Interior shall be alternative to and not a substitute for the provisions of the Reclamation 43 USC 485-485k. Projccts Act of 1939 (53 Stat. 1187) relating to the same subject. (c) The provisions of this section shall not be construed to modify 33 USC 701-1; the provisions of section 1 and section 8 of the Flood Control Act of 43 USC 390. 43 USC 372, 383. 1944 (58 Stat. 887), as amended and extended, or the provisions of section 8 of the Reclamation Act of 1902 (32 Stat. 390). AN ACT To amend the Act entitled "An Act authorizing and directing the Commissioners of the District of Columbia to construct two four-lane bridges to replace the existing Fourteenth Street or Highway Bridge across the Potomac River, and for other purposes."

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the first section of the Act entitled "An Act authorizing and directing the Commissioners of the District of Columbia to construct two four-lane bridges to replace the existing Fourteenth Street or Highway Bridge across the Potomac River, and for other purposes", approved July 16, 1946 (60 Stat. 566), is amended (a) by striking "$7,000,000" and inserting in lieu thereof "$16,000,000"; and (b) by inserting immediately before the period at the end of such section a semicolon and the following: "except that the provisions of section 6 of such Act of 1906 shall not apply". AN ACT To extend the times for commencing and completing the construction of a bridge across the Mississippi River at or near Friar Point, Mississippi, and Helena, Arkansas.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the times for commencing and completing the construction of a bridge across the Mississippi River at or near F r i a r Point, Mississippi, and Helena, Arkansas, authorized to be built by the Arkansas-Mississippi Bridge Commission and its successors and assigns by the Act entitled "An Act creating the Arkansas-Mississippi Bridge Commission; defining the authority, power, and duties of said Commission and authorizing said Commission and its successors and assigns to construct, maintain.
