ITALIAN CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION

Resolved by the House of Representatives {the Senate concurring)^ That it is the sense of the Congress that the President of the United States extend official greetings from the United States to the people of Italy on the occasion of the centennial anniversary of the unity of Italy, which occurs in March of 1961, and provide for official participation by the United States in the celebration to be held in 1961 in the city of Turin, cradle of Italian unity, in recognition of the progress and achievements of the people of Italy during the past century. GRANTING OF PERMANENT RESIDENCE TO CERTAIN ALIENS

Resolved by the House of Representatives {the Senate concurring)^ That the Congress favors the granting of the status of permanent residence in the case of each alien hereinafter named, in which case the Attorney General has determined that such alien is qualified under the provisions of section 4 of the Displaced Persons Act of 1948, as 50 USC a p p. amended (62 Stat. 101; 64 Stat. 219): 1953.
