SALARIES, OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES
For an additional amount for administrative and clerical assistants to Senators to provide additional clerical assistants for each Senator from the States of Maryland and Wisconsin so that the allowances of Senators from the State of Maryland will be equal to that allowed Senators from States having a population of over three million, the population of said State having exceeded three million inhabitants, and so that the allowances of Senators from the State of Wisconsin will be equal to that allowed Senators from States having a population of over lour million, the population of said State having exceeded four million inhabitants, $6,600. For an additional amount for Office of the Secretary, $1,915: Provided, That the basic amount available for clerical assistance and readjustment of salaries in the disbursing office is increased by $3,720.
