ADMINISTRATIVE PROVISIONS, FOREST SERVICE

Appropriations available to the Forest Service for the current fiscal ^ Passenger motor year shall be available for: (a) purchase of not to exceed one hundred and fifty passenger motor vehicles of which one hundred and thirtyfive shall be for replacement only, and hire of such vehicles; operation and maintenance of aircraft and the purchase of not to exceed two for replacement only; (b) employment pursuant to the second sentence of section Y06(a) of the Organic Act of 1944 (5 TJ.S.C. 574), 58 Stat. 742. as amended by section 15 of the Act pf August 2, 1946 (5 TJ.S.C. 55a), 60 Stat. 810. in an amount not to exceed $25,000; (c) uniforms, or allowances therefore, as authorized by the Act of September 1, 1954, as amended (5 TJ.S.C. 2131); (d) purchase, erection, and alteration of buildings 68 Stat. 1.114. and other public improvements (5 TJ.S.C. 565a); (e) expenses of the 58 Stat. 742. National Forest Reservation Commission as authorized by section 14 of the Act of March 1, 1911 (16 TJ.S.C. 514): and (f) acquisition of land and interests therein for sites for administrative purposes, pursuant to the Act of August 3, 1956 (7 TJ.S.C. 428a). 70 Stat. 1034. Funds appropriated under this Act shall not be used for acquisition of forest lands under the provisions of the Act approved March 1, 1911, as amended (16 TJ.S.C. 513-519, 521), where such land is not within 36 Stat. 962. the boundaries of a national forest nor shall these lands or lands authorized for purchase in Sanders County, Montana, be acquired without approval of the local government concerned. For necessary expenses of the Federal Coal Mine Safety Board of Review, including services as authorized by section 15 of the Act of August 2, 1946 (5 U.S.C. 55a), $70,000.

COMMISSION OF F I N E ARTS SALARIES AND EXPENSES

For expenses made necessary by the Act establishing a Commission of Fine Arts (40 TJ.S.C. 104), including payment of actual traveling expenses of the members and secretary of the Commission in attending meetings and committee meetings of the Commission either within or outside the District of Columbia, to be disbursed on vouchers approved by the Commission, $70,000.

DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, EDUCATION, AND WELFARE PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICE INDIAN HEALTH ACTIVITIES

For expenses necessary to enable the Surgeon General to carry out the purposes of the Act of August 5, 1954 (68 Stat. 674), as amended; ^^^2 USC 2001 et purchase of not to exceed thirty-six passenger motor vehicles, of which "** thirty-two shall be for replacement onl^; hire of passenger motor vehicles and aircraft; purchase of reprints; payment for telephone service in private residences in the field, when authorized under regu-
