Public Law 88-661 AN ACT To amend section 5 of the Employment Act of 1946.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That section 5(e) of the Employment Act of 1946, as amended (15 U.S.C. 1024; 60 Stat. 28, Public Law 304, Seventy-ninth Congress), is amended to read as f ollows: "(e) To enable the joint committee to exercise its powers, functions, and duties under this Act, there are authorized to be appropriated for each fiscal year such sums as may be necessary, to be disbursed by the Secretary of the Senate on vouchers signed by the chairman or vice chairman." Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Engle United States of America in Congress assembled, That the reservoir L aClair Calif. ke, created by the Trinity Dam, Central Valley project, California, shall Designation. hereafter be known as Clair Engle Lake as an appropriate tribute to the outstanding leadership and great service which the late Clair Engle performed on l^half of the development of our natural resources in the State of California and the Nation, and especially his enlightened vision for the necessity to conserve and put to the best possible beneficial use the water and power resources of this Nation, and any law, regulation, document, or record of the United States in which such reservoir is designated or referred to shall hereafter be held to refer to such reservoir by the name of Clair Engle Lake. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the funds on deposit in the Treasury of the United States to the credit of the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians that were appropriated by the Act of June 9, 1964, to pay a judgment by the Indian Claims Commission in docket ISA, and the interest thereon, after payment of attorney fees and expenses, may be advanced or expended for any purpose that is authorized by the tribal governing body and approved by the Secretary of the Interior. Any part of such funds that may be distributed per capita to the members of the tribe shall not be subject to Federal or State income tax. Approved October 13, 1964.
